Rural Bank - Internet Banking
is a transactional Web site allowing you to do much more than
conventional "static" Web sites. It is constantly
interacting with you, allowing you to update your own account,
and showing you the updated information. Because of this,
it behaves slightly differently from conventional Web sites.
This section lists a few things to avoid. These precautions
only apply while you are using Internet Banking.
- Before you have logged on and
after you have logged off, Internet Banking behaves exactly like
any other Web site (and you can ignore these precautions).
- While you are using the on-line
help, Internet Banking behaves like any other Web site (and you
can ignore these precautions).
Bookmarks
Many browsers allow you to save bookmarks
that point to Web screens you frequently visit.
- You cannot save bookmarks beyond the
LOGON screen.
The Back Button
Please don't use your browser's Back
button after you have logged on, as you may be viewing details
that are out of date (e.g. your account balances).
Resizing the Browser
It's a good idea not to change the
size of your browser's window after you have logged on.
Some browsers will try to load the file again when you change
their size.
Refresh Button
Please do not use your browser Refresh
button after you have logged on. To refresh your account
balances, simply click the Account Balances item available
under Accounts.
Browser Options
It is generally not recommended that
you change your browser options once you have logged on.
In particular Internet Banking relies on Javascript and Cookies
being enabled to conduct your session. This settings are
checked as part of the logon routine and so changing these
settings after entering the system may prevent you from
continuing your session.
